The leading Ethiopian Languages Processing (ELP) cloud services provider, in partner with Kekros Systems has developed the first Amharic-Arabic translator software. The software will be part of Abyssinica, one of the major EthioCloud service. Abyssinca includes, Speech analysis, Text to Speech, Optical Character Recognition services on Ethiopian languages.
The Amharic-Arabic translator would be available as online service and mobile apps. It supports voice enabled search. The software automatically translates Arabic voice into Amharic on Android devices. Both the iOS and Android apps come with Amharic Text to Speech engine which enables users to learn Amharic words pronunciation. Amharic is the second most-spoken Semitic language in the world, after Arabic.
